Ibanez AZ22S1F Electric Guitar – Transparent Black Sunburst
A Versatile, Modern HSS AZ for Players Seeking Expressive Tone
The Ibanez AZ22S1F brings the signature comfort, flexibility and refined playability of the AZ series into a beautifully presented Standard-Series package. With its elegant Transparent Black Sunburst finish, Flamed Maple top and modern HSS configuration, this model delivers an impressive tonal range suitable for blues, rock, fusion and technical styles.
Roasted Maple Neck for Stability and Smooth Feel
The Roasted Maple neck undergoes specialised heat treatment, improving stability, moisture resistance and long-term reliability. Its comfortable AZ profile supports both fast playing and extended sessions with ease. Paired with a Jatoba fretboard, players enjoy crisp highs, rich mids and strong note definition – perfect for both articulate rhythm work and expressive lead playing. Jumbo stainless-steel frets offer long-lasting durability with excellent clarity and smooth bending response.
Flamed Maple Top with Classic Custom HSS Pickups
A stunning Flamed Maple top enhances upper-frequency brightness, while the Alder body provides a balanced foundation with rich resonance and sustain. The Ibanez Classic Custom pickups offer a dynamic HSS palette:
- Warm, clear Alnico single-coils in neck and middle positions
- A powerful ceramic bridge humbucker for tight lows and aggressive mids
This combination delivers expressive clean tones, articulate edge-of-breakup voice, and punchy, driven power suitable for modern playing styles.
T106 Tremolo & dyna-MIX9 Switching
The T106 tremolo features six individually adjustable saddles, ensuring accurate setup and smooth vibrato action. Locking machine heads maintain tuning stability, even during heavy tremolo use. The dyna-MIX9 system unlocks nine distinct sound variations, including convincing single-coil tones via the Alter Switch – ideal for players needing maximum versatility from one guitar.
