Ibanez AFS5 Artcore AF Hollow-Body Electric Guitar – Tobacco Flat
Traditional Hollow-Body Warmth with Pure Jazz Character
The Ibanez AFS5 Artcore AF is the most traditional model in the Artcore range, built with a true full hollow-body construction and no centre block. This design allows the body to resonate freely, producing a rich, complex tone with a natural openness that jazz players prize for its warmth, depth and expressive clarity.
Finished in a tasteful Tobacco Flat, the AFS5 delivers classic jazz aesthetics paired with Ibanez’s renowned build quality and playability.
Artcore Heritage – Designed for Musical Expression
Since its debut in 2002, the Artcore series has earned a reputation for offering authentic hollow-body tone at an accessible price point. The AFS5 stays true to old-school jazz-box principles while remaining versatile enough for blues, soul and clean rhythm work.
Balanced Tonewoods, Comfortable Feel
A Nyatoh set-in neck provides a rounded mid-low response, while the bound rosewood fretboard adds focus and smoothness across the range. Linden top, back and sides deliver an even, natural tonal character, allowing the guitar’s acoustic resonance to shine through when played clean or lightly driven.
Clear Pickups and Reliable Hardware
Dual Infinity R humbuckers offer a tight, articulate sound with excellent dynamic response, maintaining clarity even when pushed harder. The Gibraltar Performer bridge enhances sustain and tuning stability, while the VT06 tailpiece contributes both visual elegance and reliable performance.
