Ibanez AZES31 AZ Essentials – Ivory (SSS, Fixed Bridge)
A Comfortable, Versatile First Guitar for New Players
The Ibanez AZES31 brings the award-winning AZ design philosophy to an accessible, student-friendly format. As part of the AZ Essentials series, this model is purpose-built for beginners and intermediate players who want a smooth learning experience and an instrument that will grow with their skills. With its elegant Ivory finish, the AZES31 combines clean aesthetics with impressive tonal versatility.
Easy Playability to Support Learning
A stable Maple neck and responsive Jatoba fretboard form the foundation of the AZES31’s comfortable feel. The 250mm fingerboard radius and medium frets give new players a forgiving platform for chord shapes, lead lines and technique development. The lightweight Poplar body ensures long practice sessions remain enjoyable, while the ergonomic AANJ neck joint improves upper-fret access for future progression.
SSS Pickup Layout with dyna-MIX8 Switching
Equipped with a trio of Ibanez Essentials single-coil pickups, the AZES31 offers a clear, balanced and expressive tone suited to everything from pop and funk to blues and indie rock. The dyna-MIX8 switching system expands this flexibility, providing eight distinct tonal options—including simulated humbucking combinations via the Alter Switch—making this an ideal "one-guitar-covers-all-genres" solution for beginners.
Reliable Fixed Bridge & Player-Focused Hardware
The Ibanez F106 fixed bridge provides impressive tuning stability and makes maintenance simple—perfect for newer guitarists. Comfort round steel saddles prevent irritation on the picking hand, while durable chrome hardware and die-cast tuners ensure consistent tuning performance.
