Vic Firth VF‑SSS Signature Series – Steve Smith
Articulation, Speed & Fusion‑Ready Balance
Developed with legendary drummer Steve Smith (Journey), the Vic Firth VF‑SSS Signature stick is designed for precision, speed, and musical clarity. Perfectly suited to jazz, fusion, and progressive styles, this model favours finesse and articulation while maintaining enough body for expressive dynamics.
Made from premium maple, the VF‑SSS offers a lighter feel than traditional hickory, reducing fatigue during extended performances and allowing for faster response.
The barrel‑shaped wood tip delivers clear cymbal definition with a smooth, controlled snare sound, making it ideal for intricate patterns and ride‑driven phrasing. A medium‑long taper provides excellent rebound and balance, supporting Steve Smith’s highly articulate playing style.
Designed for Expressive, Technical Playing
Fast, responsive, and highly musical, the VF‑SSS is a superb choice for drummers who prioritise articulation, touch, and control across complex musical settings.
