Thick Shaft with Medium-Long Taper
The SMG features a very thick shaft paired with a medium-long taper, creating excellent balance from front to back.
The added mass helps move air through the drum for maximum projection, while the taper keeps the stick from feeling overly stiff, even with added stick tape or high-tension heads.
Elongated Oval Tip for Speed & Brightness
A slightly elongated oval wood tip provides quick rebound and a bright, clear attack, allowing articulated passages and accents to speak cleanly in dense ensemble settings. This tip design supports both aggressive playing and refined control, making the SMG effective across a wide dynamic range.
