Ibanez RGMS8PB Multi-Scale 8-String – Cosmic Blue Starburst
A Multi-Scale 8-String Designed for Precision, Power and Extended Range
The Ibanez RGMS8PB brings advanced multiscale design to the iconic RG platform, offering superior string tension, ergonomic playability and tight, articulate low-end response. With its dramatic Cosmic Blue Starburst Poplar Burl top, this guitar blends modern performance engineering with striking boutique-style aesthetics. Designed for players exploring progressive, djent, atmospheric and experimental styles, it delivers clarity and control across all eight strings.
Ergonomic Multi-Scale Neck for Even Tension & Natural Feel
Using a 27.26" to 25.5" multiscale layout, this model ensures balanced tension on every string – ideal for low tunings. The slanted frets follow natural hand angles, reducing strain while enhancing accuracy during fast technical passages. The Wizard III 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck keeps the profile slim, stable and fast, paired with a responsive Jatoba fretboard and smooth jumbo frets for confident playability.
Premium Tonewoods for a Defined, Modern Sound
The combination of a beautifully figured Poplar Burl top and a resonant Nyatoh body produces a punchy, articulate tone with bright definition and solid midrange clarity. This makes the RGMS8PB ideal for capturing tight, aggressive low-register riffs without muddiness.
Array 8 MS Pickups & Mono-Rail Bridge for Maximum Clarity
The Array 8 MS pickups offer a focused, noise-controlled tone that thrives under extreme down-tuning. They deliver tight lows and cutting highs while maintaining separation across all eight strings. The Mono-rail bridge isolates each string for optimal sustain, reduced cross-talk and improved intonation accuracy.
