Ibanez RGD71ALMS Axion Label 7-String Multi-Scale Guitar – Black Aurora Burst Matte
A Forward-Thinking Metal Machine for Modern Extended-Range Players
The Ibanez RGD71ALMS is part of the forward-thinking Axion Label series – designed for players who demand cutting-edge performance, aggressive tone and premium reliability.
With a 26.5"-25.5" multi-scale layout, ultra-stable construction and Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, this 7-string delivers the clarity, definition and ergonomic feel needed for today’s most technical and drop-tuned styles. Finished in a bold Black Aurora Burst Matte, it combines futuristic aesthetics with uncompromising playability.
Multi-Scale Construction for Balanced Tension & Improved Articulation
The RGD’s extended scale and multi-scale fret layout ensure ideal string tension – tight and controlled for low-end riffs, smooth and expressive on the higher strings. The natural slant of the frets follows the player’s hand movement, reducing strain and making fast technical passages more intuitive. Combined with extra-deep cutaways, upper-fret access is exceptionally comfortable.
Nitro Wizard Multi-Scale Neck & Ebony Fretboard
The 5-pc Panga Panga/Walnut Nitro Wizard neck offers a thin, fast feel with outstanding rigidity and sustain – perfect for modern metal techniques, wide chord voicings and speed playing.
The Macassar Ebony fretboard adds tight lows, crisp highs and a quick response, while Sub-Zero treated jumbo frets withstand aggressive bending and prolonged performance with maximum durability.
Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups with Dual Voicing
Equipped with Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic humbuckers, this guitar produces aggressive, noise-free output with razor-sharp accuracy – ideal for high-gain metal, djent and prog.
A push/pull Voicing switch allows instant tonal transformation:
- Voicing 1: tight, saturated, ultra-modern high-output tone
- Voicing 2: clean, fluid, more organic response
The result is exceptional versatility without sacrificing the precision demanded by extended-range players.
Mono-Rail Bridge & Gotoh MG-T Locking Tuners
The Ibanez Mono-Rail bridge isolates each string to improve sustain, eliminate sympathetic vibration and enhance clarity – crucial for low-end accuracy. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners provide rock-solid tuning stability and fast string changes. Schaller S-Locks strap pins add further reliability for demanding live environments.
