Aquarian JD16 – DeJohnette 16″ Drumhead – Texture Coated Black

The Aquarian JD16 DeJohnette 16"" Drumhead is a black texture coated tom batter head designed to bring warmth, depth and expressive response to floor tom applications. Built from single-ply 10mil film, it offers the openness and sensitivity of a single-ply design while producing a fuller, rounder tone with impressive body. The thicker black texture coating adds durability, feel and tonal warmth, helping create a controlled but musical response that remains versatile across different playing styles. Favoured by jazz and fusion players, the DeJohnette series is known for its warm, rounded tone and expressive character. On a 16"" floor tom, the JD16 helps deliver deeper body, smooth sustain and articulate response without becoming overly bright or harsh. The distinctive black coated finish creates a unique visual statement while supporting a rich and musical sound. Suitable for jazz, fusion, acoustic music and general-purpose playing, the JD16 is ideal for drummers who want a warm floor tom voice with responsive feel, tonal fullness and standout styling.
