Ibanez AUC10E – Advanced Ukulele Series Concert Electro‑Acoustic (Open Pore Natural)
The Ibanez AUC10E brings modern innovation and premium craftsmanship to the traditional concert‑size ukulele. As part of the Advanced Ukulele Series, this instrument features cutting‑edge construction, unique acoustic enhancements, and effortless playability — all wrapped in a beautifully organic Open Pore Natural finish.
Thanks to its chambered body, stereo sound port system, and ergonomic design elements, the AUC10E delivers an inspiring playing experience with rich projection, balanced tone, and exceptional comfort. Whether you’re performing, recording, or practicing at home, this ukulele blends forward‑thinking design with authentic uke character.
Innovative Chambered Body Construction
Unlike most ukuleles, which use separate top, sides, and back pieces, the AUC10E begins with a solid block of Paulownia that’s expertly routed to form the back and sides as a single structure. A spruce top is then added to complete the body.
This construction method gives the AUC10E:
- A highly resonant and open acoustic voice
- Lightweight feel for extended playability
- Clear, well‑defined note separation
- Excellent projection and responsiveness
The result is a ukulele with a distinctive tone and a unique tactile feel.
Stereo Sound Port System for Surround‑Style Monitoring
One of the standout features of the AUC10E is its Stereo Sound Port System, featuring dual sound holes located at the body’s waist. This innovative design provides:
- A wider, more immersive listening experience
- Enhanced ability to hear oneself clearly while playing
- Greater connection to subtle tonal nuances
Perfect for performers, teachers, and players who value detailed acoustic feedback.
Comfort‑Enhanced Design
The AUC10E includes several ergonomic features that make it an exceptionally comfortable instrument:
- Elevated Comfort Armrest
- Prevents the forearm from muting the soundboard, increasing sustain and resonance while improving overall comfort.
- Beveled Cutaway
- Enables smooth, unobstructed access to higher frets — ideal for melodic playing, solos, and advanced techniques.
- Edgeless Comfort Heel
- A rounded heel design removes sharp transitions, allowing easy movement up the neck without strain.
Premium Components for Superior Tone & Stability
The Okoume neck provides light, comfortable playability, whilst the accompanying Purpleheart fingerboard delivers durability, smooth feel, and tonal warmth.
Not only that, but the Purpleheart double‑hole bridge:
- Makes string changes quicker and knot‑free
- Maintains ideal string tension
- Improves tuning stability
The ukulele also comes equipped with an Ibanez undersaddle pickup and AEQ‑2U preamp, offering simple EQ control and an onboard tuner for quick, convenient stage readiness.
A custom Ibanez gig bag is included for safe transport.
